Vandy signee wins Illinois state title

goodman_esp_bowl.jpgNatalie Goodman, who signed a national letter of intent to attend Vanderbilt last fall, won the Illinois State High School championship last weekend.

Goodman, representing O’Fallon High School, established new state records with her 2,867 pin count and 799 series. She also rolled her first official 300 game during the tournament after having a perfect game in practice preparations earlier in the week.

Goodman had been third in the Illinois state meet as a sophomore and eighth a year ago. She joins future classmate Nicole Channin of Sparta, N.J.in the state winner’s circle. Channin won the New Jersey prep title last year as a junior and also signed a Vanderbilt letter last November.
