Vanderbilt Men’s Soccer Ranked Fourth in Midwest Region

Nashville, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s soccer team is ranked No. 4 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s Midwest Region poll that was released today by the region’s coaches.

The Commodores are 2-0 on the year, marking the first time that the team has started out with two wins since the 1993 campaign.

The No. 4 ranking is the highest Vanderbilt has been ranked under fourth-year head coach Tim McClements.

Missouri Valley clubs Missouri State (2-0) and Creighton (1-0-1) are No. 1 and No. 2 in the poll followed by Oral Roberts (2-0).

VU will take on California (2-0), ranked No. 3 in the Far West Region, and Stanford (0-1-1) this weekend at the adidas Cal Legacy Classic in Berkeley, Calif.
