Double (Double) Trouble…

  • Sacha Washington notched her first career double-double against DePaul with 14 points and 10 rebounds then followed that performance with another one versus Chattanooga with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Jordyn Cambridge has also recorded a double-double, the second of her career, with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Her first coming against Columbia on Dec. 29, 2019, with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

Numbers Don’t Lie …

  • In Division I women’s basketball the Commodores are ranked 72nd in assists, 54th in free throw attempts, 42nd in free throws made, 80th in rebound margin, 40th in rebounds, 13th in steals, 49th in steals per game and 56th in turnovers forced.

Fresh Faces … 

  • The freshmen quartet in Iyana Moore, De’Mauri Flournoy, Kendal Cheesman and Washington have combined for 217 points this season, 34 percent of the total points scored for Vanderbilt. 
  • For the first time this season, all 12 active members for Vandy scored against Chattanooga and the Vanderbilt bench produced a season-high 49 points.

Got Five On It …

  • For the fifth Vandy win, the Commodores defeated the Mocs 91-61 (largest margin of victory this season) on Nov. 30.

  • Give Vanderbilt a 1-0 lead in this first meeting between the teams.
  • Put the Commodores back in the win column after falling to Kansas on Sunday.
