NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 24-ranked Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will host Missouri this Sunday as part of its annual Pride Game. Tipoff from Memorial Gymnasium is set for noon and will air live on SEC Network.
Starting Five
>> Vanderbilt comes into Sunday’s Pride Game sporting a 16-1 record overall and a perfect 3-0 mark in SEC play. The Commodores picked up a 95-73 victory at Kentucky on Thursday. Junior Iyana Moore scored a career-high 37 points in the win at Rupp Arena, while graduate student Jordyn Cambridge collected a double-double with 12 points and a career-best 12 assists against the Wildcats.
>> The Commodores are off to their first 3-0 start in the SEC since the 2008-09 campaign. Vanderbilt opened league play at 4-0 that season.
>> At 16-1 overall this season, Vanderbilt is off to its second-best start in school history. Only the 1992-93 team has had a better start, as that Commodore squad opened the year at 17-0 en route to the program’s only NCAA Final Four appearance.
>> Sunday’s matchup between the Commodores and Tigers will be the 13th meeting all-time between the two schools. Missouri holds a 9-3 advantage against Vanderbilt and has won seven-straight games against the Dores.
>> Vanderbilt is 1-5 all-time at Memorial Gymnasium against Missouri. The Commodores won the first matchup against the Tigers at Memorial, 62-46 back on Feb. 14, 2013. Missouri has won five-straight games at Memorial Gymnasium coming into this weekend’s contest.
Game Coverage
Sunday’s contest will stream live at noon on SEC Network. Fans can also listen to the game on the Vanderbilt Commodores app or on 94.9 The Fan in the Nashville area. The game will also be on SiriusXM channel 374.
Pride Game
Vanderbilt Athletics invites all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies to attend the program’s annual Pride Game. Fans will receive a free limited edition Vanderbilt women’s basketball Pride t-shirt while supplies last.

Break into the Top 25
Vanderbilt made its season debut in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll this week, as the Commodores came in at No. 24. It is the first time since Feb. 18, 2014, that the Dores have been featured in the USA Today/WBCA Top 25.
Picking Up AP Top 25 Votes
Vanderbilt is on the brink of being ranked in both major college women’s basketball polls, as the Commodores were the top team receiving votes in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 with 38 votes, 30 votes shy of No. 25-ranked UNLV.
NET Ranking
Vanderbilt holds a NET ranking of 45 coming into Thursday’s game. The Commodores have the sixth-best NET ranking in the SEC entering conference play. The NET is an evaluation tool used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee to determine seeding and at-large bids.
Collecting the Wins
Vanderbilt’s 16 wins this season are tied for the most in the nation this season. The Commodores are one of five NCAA Division I schools that have won 16 games this season. Vandy’s 94.1% winning percentage is currently tied for the third-best winning percentage in NCAA Division I.
Moore Production
Junior Iyana Moore scored a career-high 37 points in Thursday’s 95-73 win at Kentucky. The guard shot a blistering 82.4 percent, as she went 14-of-17 from the floor at Rupp Arena. Moore also added a season-high seven assists to her stat line at Kentucky, as she contributed to 54.7 percent of Vanderbilt’s 95 points scored against the Wildcats.
Stepping Up in SEC Play
Junior Iyana Moore’s 28.7 points per game against SEC teams is the top-scoring average in league play this season. Moore has the top two scoring performances in an SEC game this season. Her 37 points scored at Kentucky on Thursday are the most points scored by a player in an SEC game this season, while her 29 points at Mississippi State is the second most scored in a league game.
Lending a Hand
Vanderbilt dished out a season-best 29 assists in the win at Kentucky. Graduate student Jordyn Cambridge handed out a career-best 12 assists en route to a double-double performance at Rupp Arena. It is the second time that Nashville, Tennessee, native has had double-digit assists in a game, with the first occurrence coming during Cambridge’s triple-double performance against Texas A&M in the first round of the 2022 SEC Tournament.
Scouting the Tigers
Missouri comes to Memorial Gymnasium holding a 9-7 overall record, while the Tigers are 0-3 in SEC games. The Tigers have dropped league games at LSU (92-72) and at home against Alabama (79-64), and South Carolina (81-57). Missouri holds a NET ranking of 72 coming into Sunday’s game.
Senior Hayley Frank paces the Tigers in scoring at 16.4 points per game. Frank is one of four double-digit scorers for Missouri this season, as sophomore Asthon Judd (13.6 ppg), freshman Grace Slaughter (11.1 ppg), and senior Mama Dembele (10.1 ppg) each average double figures.
The Tigers are putting up 76.1 points per game this season. Missouri is shooting 45.5 percent from the field this season, while MU is connecting on 36.3 percent of its shots from behind the arc. Defensively, teams are scoring 69.6 points per outing against the Tigers. Foes are shooting 40.2 percent from the floor against Missouri, and 29.3 percent on 3-point field goals.
