“When you shoot the ball well, your team looks a lot better. I thought we did a reasonable job against their zone. We shot it a lot better today, maybe better than we should have.”

“I also thought our team played very well defensively. As a team, I think we did a good job of limiting our turnovers. We only committed six or seven. Our guys played with a lot of energy today. I thought that was a very good performance against a good, young Auburn team. Coach Lebo does a great job with them.”

Regarding the 24-point margin of victory:

“I would have taken a one-point victory before we started. It’s important to play well here (in Memorial Gym). If somebody is going to do a great job in this league, they have to play well at home.”

The play of individual Commodores:

“We have a lot of guys that played well for us. Shan was like what we expect of him. I thought Mario (Moore) played his best game of the year, and did a good job just organizing us. He’s better at doing that than probably anybody else on the team. His basketball IQ is very high. When he plays like he did today, we become a better team.”
