Vanderbilt is fourth in the National Tenpin Coaches Association pre-season poll, which reflects the opinions of NCAA Bowling coaches.
The Commodores were listed behind Nebraska, defending national champion Stephen F. Austin and Arkansas State after earning four first-place poll votes.
Vanderbilt will field a relatively young squad that includes three seniors, two juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen.
The team’s season begins Nov. 4 at Sam Houston State’s Track Kat Klash in Houston.
