Buy Women’s Basketball Season Tickets Starting at $35
Although we are deep into football season, it is not too early to start thinking about basketball season. In just over a week, Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will open practice on Oct. 15.
Each team is coming off an appearance in the NCAA Tournament and has high expectations of returning to the postseason once again. With basketball season quickly approaching, VUCommodores.com is set to debut the 2010-11 men’s and women’s basketball commercials, beginning today with the women’s television spot.
The women’s basketball spot features senior point guard Jence Rhoads, an All-America candidate and 2010 first team All-SEC selection. (watch commercial)
The basketball commercials were a collaborative effort between Vanderbilt’s athletic marketing department and Vanderbilt’s creative services department. They are narrated by Commodore legend Perry Wallace, the first African-American basketball player in the SEC.
Women’s basketball season tickets are on sale now and start at $35. The Commodores will play 17 games at Memorial Gym this season, which equates to an investment of a little more than $2 per game for season ticket holders.
Check back Thursday as Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball commercial is debuted.
