Starting Five
>> Vanderbilt holds a 12-1 overall record after picking up a 73-41 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson at Memorial Gym on Friday. It was the fifth-straight win for the Commodores, while the 12 victories match Vandy’s win total from a season ago. The Dores got a 14-point performance from juniors Sacha Washington and Iyana Moore, while freshman Khamil Pierre added 12 points off the bench.
>> The Commodores’ 12-1 record this season is tied for the second-best start through the first 13 games in program history. Vanderbilt has held a 12-1 record or better through the first 13 games six different times prior to this season, with the most recent occurrence taking place during the 2011-12 team’s 12-1 start.
>> Vandy comes into its matchup against the Highlanders seeking their best start to a season through 14 games since the 2006-07 campaign. The Commodores opened the 2006-07 season with a 14-1 overall record.
>> Sunday’s contest will be the third all-time meeting between Vanderbilt and Radford. The Commodores are a perfect 2-0 against RU, with both games taking place in Nashville. The last matchup came on Nov. 8, 2019, where the Commodores picked up an 80-46 win at Memorial Gymnasium.
>> The Dores are a perfect 8-0 at home this season, with each win coming against a nonconference foe. Vanderbilt has won 10-straight games against non-SEC teams dating back to last season.
