Vanderbilt Alumna to Compete at Worlds

Beatrice Juskeviciute will compete in the heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Beatrice Juskeviciute, an alumna of the Vanderbilt track and field team, will represent Lithuania in the heptathlon at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, Friday and Saturday.

The five-time Lithuanian national champion will begin competition at worlds on Friday morning at 3:33 a.m. CT with the heptathlon 100-meter hurdles.

Juskeviciute is ranked 15th in the world in the multi with a personal-best score of 6,295, set at Mt. SAC Relays in April. At the time, it was the world-leading heptathlon score. In 2024, she set the Lithuanian national record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 12.87 seconds.

As a Commodore, Juskeviciute made history, winning the SEC title and earning a runner-up finish to the national crown in the heptathlon in 2023. It was the best finish by a Vanderbilt student-athlete at the NCAA Championships since 2016. In one season at Vanderbilt, she also set six program records and registered marks ranking top 10 in school history in seven events.
