KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — No. 8 Tennessee made 14 3-point field goals overall and shot 52.6 percent from the field in the first half in defeating Vanderbilt 88-53 at Food City Center Saturday.
Dalton Knecht and Zakai Zeigler led the Volunteers (19-6, 9-3 SEC) with 14 points apiece, with Josiah-Jordan James and Santiago Vescovi adding 13 and 12, respectively. Jonas Aidoo finished with 11 points as well for the Vols, who scored 33 points of 19 forced turnovers.
Ven-Allen Lubin scored in double figures for the fifth time in the last six contests, pacing the Commodores (7-18, 2-10 SEC) with 10 points while adding six rebounds. Carter Lang added a team-best nine rebounds and a career-high-tying two blocked shots also.
Vandy returns home to play host to Georgia Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
