NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball team spent part of its Saturday morning volunteering at the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee Buddy Walk, which was held at Centennial Park.
The Commodores painted children’s faces, signed autographs, passed out posters and took photos with those in attendance. The annual event featured fun children’s activities, live music and a one-mile walk to raise awareness and celebrate people in the Nashville community who have Down Syndrome.
Vanderbilt begins exhibition play at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 when Delta State visits Memorial Gym.
