NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt cross country will head south to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to compete at the Crimson Classic on Friday at the Harry Pritchett Running Course.
It will be the Commodores’ final regular season event before competing at the SEC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The last time out
At the Gans Creek Classic, the Vanderbilt men and women notched 12th and 14th-place finishes, respectively. Claire Petersen, who was 57th with a time of 20:23.8, and Luke Churchwell, who came in 45th with a personal-best time of 24:23.4, were the Commodores’ top finishers. Additional scorers for the women’s team included Tyla Lumley (20:29.6), Lily Kriegel (20:46.3), Hannah Huyler (21:10.0) and Myrto Valacha (21:53.4). Sam Darmanie (24:29.4), Brady Bliven (25:00.3), Dylan Ballard (25:02.9) and Brody Chapman (25:04.2) were scorers for the men’s squad.
