NASHVILLE, Tenn. — No. 2-ranked Vanderbilt bowling looks to build off its runner-up finish, which began the team’s 2026 spring season, as the Commodores travel to compete at Lewis’ Storm Flyer Classic at Strike & Spare II in Lockport, Illinois.
The last time out
Vandy took second place at the Northeast Classic, compiling an 11-2 tournament record. On Day 2 of the event, the Commodores bowled the third highest-scoring traditional game in school history, registering a score of 1,222 pins in a win over ninth-ranked Mount St. Mary’s. All five of Vanderbilt’s Saturday starters were named to the all-tournament team. Katelyn Abigania and Dannielle Henderson were named to the first team, while Saphyre Nofuente, Victoria Varano and Alyssa Ballard earned second-team recognition.
The Dores’ break was extended by a week, as the Prairie View A&M Invitational, scheduled for Jan. 24–26, was canceled due to inclement weather.
