Winston Roberts
Associate Director • Communications (Soccer • Lacrosse)
Winston Roberts joined the Vanderbilt communications staff as an associate director in May 2026. He serves as the primary contact for the soccer and lacrosse programs.
Roberts comes to West End from Memphis, where he spent two years as an assistant director in the Tigers’ communications office. Handling women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and track & field, he managed publicity for the 2024 and 2025 regular season American Conference champions in women’s soccer. Roberts helped promote First Team All-American defender Finley Lavin, as well as women’s basketball’s Tilly Boler, the first All-Conference First Team member since 2013 and first WNBA signee since 2016. He assisted in the program’s first nationally televised games since 2019 in December 2024.
Prior to his time in Memphis, Roberts spent two years as a graduate student at Tennessee, obtaining a master’s degree in public relations in 2024. He worked in the strategic communications office as the primary contact for women’s golf and served as a department-wide feature writer.
A native of Gautier, Mississippi, Roberts was a student worker in the sports information office at LSU for two years. He graduated in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in sport administration.
