Tim Thompson

One of the longest-tenured broadcasters in the Southeastern Conference, Tim Thompson enters his 25th season as men’s basketball analyst for the Vanderbilt Sports Network in 2024-25. A Kansas City native, Thompson played for the Commodores from 1975-79, graduating from VU with a degree in economics. He worked 17 years for Converse in sales and sports marketing, then 25 years with Nike as director of college sports marketing before retiring in 2021. Tim and his wife Michelle live in Franklin, Tennessee.
