Renee Mackin

Assistant Director • Event Management (Women's Basketball)

Renee Mackin joined Vanderbilt’s Office of the Chancellor in 2000 and begin working for Vanderbilt Athletics in 2004.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Tennessee and graduate degree at Memphis. Mackin completed Vanderbilt’s master of liberal arts and science program in 2010.

While in school, Mackin focused on cultural studies and the impact of sport on society. She was a rugby player at Tennessee and coached high school girls rugby for many years.

Her professional career in athletics started with an internship with the Orange Bowl Committee in Miami. She then returned to her hometown of Nashville

A seasoned professional in the areas of facility and event management, she has worked a wide variety of sporting events from local fundraisers to national championship games in both football and basketball.
