Norman Jordan is in his 23rd season broadcasting Vanderbilt football. The former Commodore running back provided color commentary for TV from 1985-94 and two seasons in the early 2000s. Jordan returned to the radio booth in 2015.

The Etowah, Tennessee, native was a four-year letterwinner from 1979-82 under head coach George MacIntyre. Jordan started at tailback in 1981 as a junior and made 49 catches. As a senior, Jordan helped the Commodores to an 8-3 regular season record with 56 catches, 470 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In his final appearance as a Commodore, the 1982 Hall of Fame Bowl, Jordan put together one of the greatest receiving performances in team history. He finished the game against Air Force with 20 receptions for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan’s reception total remains a Vanderbilt single-game record.
