Michaela Brown
Director • Athletic Finance Operations
Michaela Brown was named director of athletic finance operations at Vanderbilt in April 2025.
She joined the Commodore staff after serving more than a year as athletics business manager at Tennessee Tech, where her responsibilities included budgeting and balancing multiple accounts for each of the Golden Eagles’ sport programs, paying all athletics bills, and managing procurement cards for all athletics employees.
Brown also has experience with One Bank of Tennessee—where she filled multiple roles over a six-and-a-half-year span—Verizon Wireless and Mid-State Sports Medicine.
A 2012 graduate of Florida Southern with a degree in communications-public relations, Brown received All-America recognition from multiple organizations and was the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year as a senior to cap a basketball career that saw her score more than 1,800 points. She received her master’s degree in sports management from Central Missouri in 2014.
