Katie Rosenblad-Pietzold

Katie Rosenblad-Pietzold joined the student services staff as a learning services coordinator in November 2022.

Rosenblad-Pietzold came to Vanderbilt after serving as a learning specialist in Utah State’s student-athlete academic services department, where she primarily worked with the football team but provided support to all 16 sport programs. During this time, Rosenblad-Pietzold was responsible for the tutor and mentor program, the summer bridge course, and assisting in student-athlete development programming. Additionally, she served on the Student-Athlete Wellness Team to discuss students of concern, mental health resources, and implement educational resources and programming for student-athletes.

As a graduate student at Southern California, Rosenblad-Pietzold served as an assistant learning specialist for student-athlete academic services, working with football student-athletes in weekly meetings to guide time management, communication, and study skills. As an undergraduate at Oregon, Rosenblad-Pietzold served as a student-athlete academic tutor, an ambassador for the Oregon football team, and a photojournalist for the local news station covering the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Track & Field Trials and Oregon sports on the road.

Rosenblad-Pietzold earned dual bachelor’s degrees in journalism and public relations from Oregon, including a minor in ethnic studies emphasizing African-American studies. She went on to earn a master’s degree in digital social media from Southern California. She is an active member of N4A and Women Leaders in Sports.

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Rosenblad-Pietzold is originally from Salem, Oregon, where her family raises golden retrievers and recently brought one home to Nashville for her weekend hiking adventures. She hopes train her puppy as a comfort animal through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
