Women's Basketball
My experience as a student-athlete was amazing! Our team won two SEC Championships, and was consistently ranked in the Top 25 all four years that I was on the team. The winning tradition of the women’s basketball team was something that I’ll always be proud to be a part of. I also enjoyed my time in the classroom. It always feels good when I’m able to utilize some of the concepts and skills that I learned through my major, HOD, in my career now. Those experiences are the main reason that I stay connected. I want the next generation of athletes to be proud to wear black and gold, and to know that they’re supported even when things are rough.
I am extremely excited and honored to join the Black and Gold Club Board of Advisors. Vanderbilt Athletics is heading in the right direction under the leadership of Candice Lee, someone that I’ve always admired since we met. I truly believe that we can create a welcoming and family-like culture in Vanderbilt Athletics, and I’m excited to be part of the team that will bridge the gap between the current and former players. I love that the athletic department is making it a priority to reconnect the former athletes back to the university, and putting the resources behind it to make these efforts successful. The Black and Gold Club has the potential to become a foundational stronghold of Vanderbilt Athletics, and I’m excited to be part of the change! Anchor Down!
