Courtney Colton

Assistant Director • Facilities and Event Management (Director • Tennis Center)

Courtney Colton serves as assistant director of facilities and event management, and is also director of the tennis center for Vanderbilt Athletics.

Prior to joining the Commodore staff, she spent four years as both a special education teacher and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in local public school districts in Williamson County while also working as a part-time tennis professional at Hillwood Country Club.

Colton competed for the Dores’ tennis team for four seasons, earning second-team All-SEC honors in 2015. In addition to earning an invitation to the NCAA Doubles Championship three times, she helped Vandy make the NCAA Tournament all four years highlighted by the program’s national championship in 2015. Colton was named to the league’s Community Service Team on three occasions, making the SEC Academic Honor Roll each of her last three years as well.

Originally from Davie, Florida, Colton earned her undergraduate degree in special education and child studies and a master’s degree in special education from Vanderbilt.
