Spring Volleyball Schedule Set

The Commodores will play four exhibition matches before their inaugural season this fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt volleyball announced its 2025 spring schedule Wednesday, which features four exhibition matches, including a showdown with in-state and SEC rival Tennessee.

“This is a milestone for Vandy Volley as fans will see us compete for the first time in over 45 years,” head coach Anders Nelson said. “Russell put together a great schedule showcasing our team against elite competition. We’re especially excited to connect with the community by playing a couple of matches at local high schools.”

Vanderbilt ends its spring with a road trip to Indianapolis to play 2024 NCAA regional semifinalist Purdue (27-7, 16-4 Big Ten in 2024) on April 12.

Vandy’s spring squad consists of 15 student-athletes, including five midyear enrollees. Among the program’s newcomers are 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year Kamryn Chaney and Missouri Girls Volleyball Gatorade Player of the Year Maya Witherspoon.
