Kane on Vanderbilt:

‘Looking back on my last three years at Vanderbilt, I am very aware that my college career has been by no means [apos]normal.[apos] I[apos]ve spent many weekend evenings studying, and I[apos]ve never known what it[apos]s like to have a day completely to myself, yet I[apos]ve been a part of something great.

‘As a member of the bowling team, I have contributed to changing Vanderbilt sports history and traveled the country with some of the truest friends I will ever have. As a student and a member of Habitat for Humanity, I have developed an ever deeper appreciation for education and the opportunities I have to change the world.

‘Achieving my fullest potential as a student and an athlete has been the greatest and most rewarding challenge of my life thus far. Upon graduation I will have accomplished the main goal of the Class of 2009, but most importantly, my accomplishments as a Vanderbilt bowler will forever be uniquely mine.’
