The Ballard File
Dylan Ballard prepped at Bellaire Senior High School, where he was a cross country and track and field team captain. His prep-best times include 1:58 in the 800 meters, 4:21 in the 1,600 meters, 9:27 in the 3,200 meters and 16:00 in the 5K (XC). As a senior, he was district champion for cross country and a member of the winning team at the district meet. Ballard was a three-time runner-up at the district track meet and qualified for the area meet in 2021 and the regional championships in 2022. Academically, he was a National Merit finalist, an IB diploma candidate and a member of the National Honor Society.
