AS A JUNIOR: Consistent top eight performer for the Irish cross country team … took fourth overall at the Valparaiso Invitational in 25:34 … improved his career best 8,000 meter time at the National Catholic Championship, running 25:12 for seventh place … further lowered the mark at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing 92nd in 25:09 … competed in the NCAA Pre-National open race, running 25:16 for 12th … capped his season with a strong effort at the BIG EAST Championship … took 34th in the league meet in a time of 24:59.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Finished second on the team and fifth overall at the Valparaiso Invitational cross country meet … ran in the varsity races at both the National Catholic and Notre Dame Invitational meets … finished 18th at the National Catholic Championship in a career-best 25:47 … ran the 10,000 meters for the Irish at the outdoor BIG EAST meet … finished fifth in the league in a time of 31:16.68.
AS A FRESHMAN: Top finish was a 26:10 effort at the Bronco Open where he took fifth overall … also placed sixth at the National Catholic Championship JV race and 30th at the Notre Dame Invitational Gold race … established a personal best in the mile at the indoor triangular against Western Michigan and Ball State (4:23.55) … top performance of the outdoor campaign was at the Boilermaker Open where he got his first taste of the 10,000 meters … ran 32:27.50.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Eight-time letter winner in cross country and track and field at Franklin Road Academy … owns the record for most individual state cross country titles in Tennessee history, with three … also earned three state 3,200-meter titles and two 1,600-meter titles in track and field … also was the state runner-up in the 800 meters as a junior … earned 11 all-state accolades across his two sports … helped his team win state championships in both his junior and senior cross country and track seasons … personal bests include 1:59.8 in the 800m, 4:28.6 in the 1,600m, 9:40.3 in the 3,200m, and 15:14 over three miles in cross country.
