NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior Brittany Sizer earned SEC honors this week for her performance in the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, North Carolina last weekend.
Sizer earned her second career finish as the Commodores’ lead runner at the Blue Ridge meet, finishing with an 18:05 mark. Sizer finished second overall, helping seal the Vanderbilt second place team finish.
At her previous outing, Sizer finished fifth overall at the Louisville Invitational, which featured over 250 runners. Cross country powerhouses Georgia Tech, Louisville and Kentucky all had competitors in the event. Sizer proved her ability to run with the elite when, at one point during the race, she held third place.
Next up for Sizer and the Cross Country team will be the SEC Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
