SEC Tipoff ’25 Returns

SEC Tipoff ’25 live from Birmingham, Alabama, Oct. 15-16

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – SEC Tipoff ’25 takes place this Tuesday and Wednesday in Birmingham, Alabama.

Student-athletes and head coaches from each SEC school’s men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams will gather in Birmingham once again for the annual SEC Tipoff event to talk to local and national media and preview the 2023-24 season.

SEC Tipoff ’25 begins Tuesday with the league’s men’s basketball programs. First-year Vanderbilt men’s basketball head coach Mark Byington will be joined by fifth-year AJ Hoggard and junior Tyler Nickel. The trio of Commodores are slated to appear on SEC Now at 1:10 p.m. on the SEC Network. SEC Network+ will carry coach Byington’s press conference at 2:30 p.m.

Women’s basketball takes center stage at the SEC Tipoff ’25 Wednesday. It will be the fourth SEC Tipoff event for Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Shea Ralph, who recently received a contract extension after guiding the Commodores to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade. Graduate student Jordyn Oliver and senior Iyana Moore join their head coach in Birmingham for festivities. SEC Network will air an interview with Coach Ralph, Moore, and Oliver at SEC Tipoff ’25 at 2:45 p.m. SEC Network+ will stream Coach Ralph’s press conference at 3:30 p.m.

Coverage of the SEC Tipoff ’25 will be on SEC Network. Tuesday’s coverage of the media showcase will be hosted by Peter Burns,who will be joined by analysts Daymeon Fishback, Pat Bradley , and Ron Slay.Wednesday’s hosts will consist of Courtney Lyle, Steffi Sorensen , and Brooke Weisbrod, who will bring all the action to SEC Network viewers.
