FIRST CHANCE TO BOUNCE BACK
- For the first time this season, Vanderbilt enters off a loss after suffering an 80-64 setback at Texas on Wednesday.
- In a back-and-forth game early, Vandy trailed by just two with 17 minutes to play and four with 11 minutes to go but finished just 6-of-25 and 3-of-13 from the field from those two marks.
- The Commodores finished just 36.7 percent from the field, just their second game under 42 percent this season.
ANOTHER RANKED TILT
- For the second time in 10 days, Memorial Gymnasium will host a top 20 clash when the Gators come to town Saturday.
- Vandy has won four-straight contests against ranked opponents dating back to last season.
- A win over the Gators would match the longest winning streak over ranked foes in program history. The 2006-07 team knocked off five-straight ranked foes, taking down Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU.
DUKE DELIVERING
- Duke Miles leads the Commodores at 17.5 points per game.
- After missing two games with an illness and an injury, Miles returned to the lineup with 19 points and five steals in the win over No. 13 Alabama.
- He’s 1-of-6 active players with 200 career steals and currently leads the SEC and ranks sixth nationally with 2.9 steals per game.
- Miles was named as one of the five best transfers this season by Field of 68.
- Miles owns seven 20-point games this season while also having seven games of 5 or more assists.
SERIES HISTORY
- Vanderbilt and Florida meet for the 150th with only one game separating the all-time series at 75-74 in favor of the Gators.
- The Commodores have owned the series in Nashville with a 47-19 mark in home meetings.
- Vandy has won each of the past two matchups in Memorial Gymnasium.
