NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Elizabeth Rudisill was named SEC Women’s Golf Freshman of the Week following her individual victory at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate over the weekend.
Rudisill finished with a 10-under-par total of 206 to win medalist honors and helped the Commodores capture their second consecutive team title. Vanderbilt finished at 24-under, 13 strokes ahead of Colorado and Texas State in second.
The SEC recognition is the second for Rudisill who was named Freshman of the Week following her performance at the Mason Rudolph Championship in September. Rudisill paced the field at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate with 17 birdies over the weekend. Her 206 tied for the fifth-lowest 54-hole score in Vanderbilt history.
Rudisill finished all three rounds under par, including a 5-under 67 and a 4-under 68.
Vanderbilt and Rudisill return to the course October 20-22 at The Ally in West Point, Mississippi.
