The Culpepper File 
Mackenzie Culpepper prepped at Spain Park, where she was a three-time school record holder. There, she recorded prep bests of 56.44 in the 400 meters, 2:11.08 in the 800 meters, 5:02.12 in the 1,600 meters, 18:46.30 in the 5K (XC). In high school, she was a five-time state champion in the indoor and outdoor 400 and 800 meters. Academically, Culpepper earned an AP Capstone diploma and was a four-time recipient of the school district character award and member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), History Honor Society and Latin Honor Society.

Personal
Mackenzie is the daughter of Julius and Shonteria Culpepper. She has one sibling, Chip, who plays basketball at Tuskegee University
