General:
Larry Austin, Jr., joined the Vanderbilt basketball program in the summer of 2016 after transferring from Xavier University.  Played in 23 games as a junior and made three starts.

2017-18 (Redshirt Junior):
Played in 23 games and made three starts…Averaged 2.5 points per game in 11.0 minutes…Played a season-high 32 minutes against USC…Scored season-high 13 points on five made field goals against the Trojans; also added a career-high six assists…Played SEC-high 17 minutes at Tennessee…Scored a SEC-best eight points at Arkansas.

2016-17 (Redshirt Sophomore):

2014-16 (Xavier):
Played 60 games with the Musketeers from 2014-16 and averaging 1.3 points and 0.8 assists per game. As a sophomore in 2015-16, Austin averaged 9.8 minutes in 30 games and scored a career-high 12 points to go with five rebounds and four assists in 17 minutes at DePaul on January 30. As a freshman, he played in 26 games and scored a season-high four points in 11 minutes at Creighton on March 7. He also made his first collegiate start at Villanova on January 14 that season, contributing three assists and a steal.

High School:
At Lanphier High School in Springfield, Ill., Austin, Jr., was a 2014 Class 3A unanimous First Team All-State selection by the Associated Press, Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times and averaged 22.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.2 steals as a senior, while shooting 38 percent from 3-point territory and 73 percent from the free-throw line. He led his team to a 27-2 overall record, including a 25-0 start that set a new record for both the school and the entire city. He was named the Conference Player of the Year and earned MVP honors at three in-season tournaments: Dekatur Turkey Tourney, Pekin Holiday Tournament and the Highland Optimist Shootout. At Highland, he led the team to a win over national-ranked and eventual Missouri state champion Christian Brothers College High School. He was an honor roll student at Lanphier, in addition to earning Lanphier’s Good Citizenship Award. He was coached by Blake Turner.
