Member of the 2012 Under 20/21 German National team that placed fifth in European Championship.

2012-13 (Freshman):
Played in all 33 games, and started 29…Averaged 6.9 points and a team-leading 5.5 rebounds per game…Named the SEC Freshman of the Week on two occasions…Tallied second double-double of his career with 11 points and 10 rebounds in win at Xavier (12/6) and was named SEC Freshman of the Week…Later in the season, he was honored by the league for averaging 12.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in wins over Georgia and Auburn…In the win over Georgia, he scored 11 points and had the game-winning basket as time expired…Scored a career-high 15 points twice, once in the opener against Nicholls State (11/10) and then again at Mississippi State (2/23)…Had three double-doubles on the year, and became the first Commodore true freshman to accomplish that since Jeffery Taylor in 2008-09…Grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds against Villanova (12/1) to along with 12 points…Tallied double digits nine times…Made a career-high five threes at Miss. State…Made three or more three pointers seven times…Had career-high four assists vs. Villanova.

Played at the Urspring Basketball Academy in Uln, Germany…His team was the German Champion in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2011…Averaged 14.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.3 steals in his last season at Urspring..
