The Clifford File
Gigi Clifford was a letterwinner in cross country, track and field and soccer at Marin Park Catholic under head coach Tim Fitzpatrick and Wayne Patton. She was a three-time competitor at the state championships, qualifying individually in 2019. Clifford was named the 2021 Marin County Athletic League Cross Country Athlete of the Year and 2019 Marin County Runner of the Year and earned a spot on the 2019 all-county team. A lifetime Dean’s List member in high school, she received an award for outstanding accomplishment and excellence in campus ministry and was a two-time Cornerstone Scholar Award recipient. Clifford was also a National Honor Society member.
Personal
Born in San Francisco, California, to Catherine and Chris Clifford, Gigi is one of four children. Her siblings’ names are James, William and Caroline. Her brother, William, played lacrosse at Columbia, and her other brother, James, skied at Middlebury. Additionally, Clifford’s aunt was on the track team at Bowling Green. Since she was five years old, Gigi has ski raced. Outside of athletics, she is a passionate chef and an avid yogi.
