The Gallegos File
Ashlee Gallegos transferred to Vanderbilt from USC and prepped at J. Serra Catholic. While competing for the Trojans, she finished second among USC athletes and 92nd overall at the 2022 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships. On the track, she placed eighth in the 1,500 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays.
While prepping at J. Serra Catholic, she recorded best times of 2:10.18 in the 800 meters, 4:55.41 in the 1,600 meters and 17:55.5 in the three miles (XC). A three-time Nike Track Nationals All-American and four-time Arcadia Invitational champion, Gallegos set the 800 meter meet records at the Stanford Invitational and Trinity League meet. She was the 2022 Orange County champion in the 1,600 meters and was the runner-up in the 1,500 meters at the CA Winter State Championships.
