Vanderbilt bowling earns the No. 2 overall seed in 20th consecutive NCAA Tournament berth

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Making their 20th consecutive NCAA tournament berth, the Vanderbilt bowling team earned the No. 2 overall seed for the 2026 National Collegiate Bowling Championship.  The Commodores were selected for the Rochester Regional and will begin their postseason run on April 3.

Vandy will play the winner of the play-in match between Alabama A&M and Dominican. The other teams competing in Rochester include Sam Houston State and Maryville, respectively ranked eighth and ninth in the NTCA March Coaches Poll.

The tournament will follow a double-elimination mega-match format. Teams will play a traditional game, followed by a five-game Baker match. If one team wins both the traditional and Baker points, the match is over. If the teams split the two, the match goes to a best-of-seven Baker match tiebreaker.

The winners of each of the four regions will advance to the Final Four, which will be April 10-11 in Cleveland. Jacksonville State clinched the top overall seed, while Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech claimed the third and fourth national seeds.
