NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s basketball student-athlete Liam Robbins earned first-team Academic All-District® honors, College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Robbins has thrived on and off the court in Nashville. The 7-footer is working toward his master’s degree in human development studies at Vanderbilt.
Robbins is averaging 15.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game – leading the Commodores in all three categories. On the current five-game winning streak, Robbins has posted three double-doubles.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, individuals must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have at least sophomore standing both academically and athletically. District 3 includes all NCAA Division I institutions in the states of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
