NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf returns to the course for one final regular season event on Monday at the Tennessee Spring Challenge. The one-day, 36-hole event will be hosted at Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville.
“We’re excited for one last tune-up before heading to the SEC Championship next week,” said head coach Greg Allen.
The Commodores are mixing up the lineup this week, opting for a younger crew of Tillie Claggett, Sara Im, Angelina Tolentino, Charlene Chung and Claire Henson. Macie Brown will compete as an individual.
“We decided to rest Ava and Lynn since it’s a 36-hole day Monday,” said Allen. “We want them as healthy as they can be for next week.”
The field for Monday’s event will be host Tennessee, Appalachian State, Austin Peay, Elon, Lipscomb, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, USC-Upstate, Western Kentucky and Wofford.
“We’re going to need Tillie, Sara and AT to step up, and they certainly are very capable of doing that,” said Allen. “Like always, I’ll be looking for our girls to play with great attitude and effort.”
Vanderbilt tees off with Tennessee and Western Kentucky at 7:45 a.m. CT. Live scoring for the event can be found on SCOREBOARD.
