Regional Action Begins

Commodores seek return to NCAA Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf opens play at the Stanford Regional Monday as the Commodores seek their fifth-straight NCAA Championship appearance. The No. 3-seeded Commodores will be in the top grouping alongside top-seeded Stanford and Pepperdine to begin the 54-hole regional at the par-71, 6,271-yard Stanford Golf Course.

Vanderbilt will feature the same lineup which finished the SEC Championships as veterans Lynn Lim, Ava Merrill and Sara Im lead the way with sophomore Angelina Tolentino and freshman Kathryn Ha rounding out the Commodores’ five. Elizabeth Rudisill will be in the alternate slot for the Dores.

“If you can’t get excited about playing college golf in May, then maybe check your pulse.,” head coach Greg Allen said. “ This is the time of year when it gets really fun – all the morning workouts, long days on the golf course, endless hours on the range and the putting green are to get us prepared for this week.

“We’ve talked about doing the small things really well this week and putting our focus on the things that we can control. If we can do that at a high level, then I feel good about this team getting it done.”

Vanderbilt will open its regional action with Lynn Lim teeing off at 8 a.m. PT/10 a.m. CT on Monday. The top five from the 12-team regional will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, California, later this month.

For the first time, all six NCAA Regionals will be streamed live on Babygrande Golf while live scoring for the regionals is available on SCOREBOARD.
