NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball head coach Shea Ralph announced the Commodores’ 2025-26 nonconference schedule Monday. Vandy is slated to play a total of 13 games prior to the start of SEC action this season, along with one out-of-league contest on Martin Luther King Day.
Coming off its second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, Coach Ralph has put together a rigorous nonconference slate to prepare the Commodores for another March Madness run. Vanderbilt will play eight nonconference games at Memorial Gymnasium during the 2025-26 campaign. The Dores will take on a total of four teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament in the nonconference slate.

Vanderbilt opens the season overseas in Paris, France, on Nov. 3, as the Dores take on California as part of the 2025 Oui-Play Paris. It will be the first time that Vanderbilt has played a regular-season game in Europe. After returning stateside, the Commodores host Furman for the 2025-26 home opener on Nov. 10 at Memorial Gymnasium.
Vanderbilt makes short trips to Austin Peay (Nov. 12) and Western Kentucky (Nov. 19), after the home opener, then returns to the Music City to take on Alabama State (Nov. 21) and Tennessee State (Nov. 23).
The Dores make the trek to the Caribbean over Thanksgiving to participate in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Vandy plays two games at the University of the Virgin Islands, starting on Nov. 27 against Oregon State. Vanderbilt then takes on either BYU or Virginia Tech on Nov. 29. Vandy returns to Memorial Gym for the entire month of December for five nonconference games. The extended homestay begins Dec. 3 with an ACC/SEC Challenge matchup against Virginia. The Dores then welcome in South Florida (Dec. 15), UAlbany (Dec. 18) and Texas Southern (Dec. 20). After the holiday break, Vandy hosts Stonehill on Dec. 28 for its final tune-up before the SEC slate begins on New Year’s Day.
The Commodores will step out of SEC play on Jan. 19 to battle Michigan in the Coretta Scott King Classic at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Vanderbilt tips off against the Wolverines at 1:30 p.m. CT for a nationally-televised contest on FOX. Fans can click the link here to purchase tickets.
Last week, the SEC announced its 16-game women’s basketball schedule. The Commodores open league play on Jan. 1 at Arkansas, while the first SEC home game takes place on Jan. 4 against LSU.

The Commodores enter Year 5 under the direction of head coach Shea Ralph. Vandy returns seven players from last season’s 22-win NCAA Tournament team. The Dores have earned an at-large bid into March Madness in each of the last two seasons, a first for the program since earning 15-straight bids from 1999-2014. Ralph comes into her fifth season with the Commodores sporting a 73-59 (.553) record. Vanderbilt is 45-21 (.682) over the last two seasons, which include 17 victories against SEC teams.
