GREEN BAY, WI—The outstanding run by Vanderbilt-related bowlers finally ended Monday as Giselle Poss, Brittni Hamilton and Kristin Quah were eliminated from the USBC Queens.

She advanced to the semi-finals of the winner’s bracket defeating Kristina Wendell, 736-639, and Natalie Cortese, 696-621, before finally coming out on the short end of a match with the red-hot Erin McCarthy, who ended up as the No. 1 seed in Tuesday night’s televised ladder.Quah was then placed in a four-woman, three-game elimination with two former NCAA Players of the Year, Liz Kuhlkin and Maria Rodriguez and long-time professional Shannon Pluhowsky. The top three would advance to Tuesday’s ladder but Quah ended up fourth and was ousted from contention.

Poss, the junior from Montgomery, Ill., ran into a buzz-saw in her consolation bracket game against Birgit Poeppler and was also eliminated.

Hamilton, the four-time All-American, lost a five-pin contest to Amanda Greene Monday morning, ending her good tournament.
