Postseason competition highlights what will be a busy weekend for Vanderbilt’s spring sports. Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s tennis teams begin play in the NCAA Tournament Friday and the women’s golf team tees off Thursday at NCAA Regionals. Vanderbilt’s track and field team is competing at the SEC Outdoor Championships and the baseball team has a road series at Kentucky. Did we mention Vanderbilt’s Commencement is Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. CT?
Needless to say, it is a full docket of events at home and on the road this weekend. Highlighting Vanderbilt’s home athletic schedule this weekend will be the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament.
For the first time in 10 years, Vanderbilt was chosen to host the NCAA event. The Commodores will play East Tennessee State Friday at 2 p.m. CT at the Currey Tennis Center. Before Vanderbilt’s match, Illinois and Georgia State will meet at 11 a.m. CT.
The winner of the two matches on Friday will meet in the second round at 2 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 for general admission seating and $3 for students. For additional information, please visit Tournament Central.
Vanderbilt’s women’s tennis team travels to Clemson, S.C., for first and second round competition in the NCAA Tournament. The ‘Dores will open play at 9 a.m. Friday against Indiana. More Information
The Commodores’ women’s golf team tees off Thursday at the NCAA West Regional in Palo Alto, Calif. The top eight teams will advance to the NCAA Championships. More Information

Vanderbilt’s baseball team will travel to Kentucky Friday through Sunday for a three-game series. Friday’s game will start at 5:30 p.m. CT. Saturday’s game will commence at 6 p.m. and will be televised by CSS. Sunday’s series finale will begin at noon on Fox Sports South.
