TEAM NOTES
- Captains Richie Hoskins, Langston Patterson and Marlen Sewell represented Vandy at midfield for the coin toss
- Missouri won the coin toss and elected to defer
- The Commodores took No. 7/8 Missouri to double overtime, the second overtime of this season and the second of the Clark Lea era
- The last time Vandy went to overtime twice in a season was against Duke and TCU in 1998
- Vanderbilt’s last SEC overtime game was vs. Ole Miss (11/17/18)
- Vanderbilt’s last double-overtime game was vs. No. 13 Florida (11/5/05)
- The Commodores’ defense posted eight tackles for loss, the second time this season with at least eight
- Vandy has nine rushing touchdowns so far this season, just one shy of last season’s total
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- Joseph McVay caught a 65-yard pass from Paiva his first career catch and the Dores’ longest play of the season
- Diego Pavia finished with 14 completions off 23 attempts and two touchdowns for 178 yards, his third game this season with 100-plus passing yards. It is also the third time this season with at least two passing touchdowns
- Gabe Fisher caught his first career touchdown off his first career reception to boost Vandy in overtime
- Brock Taylor connected for a program-record 57-yard field goal in the closing seconds of the first half. Taylor is now 2-for-2 on 50-plus yard field goals this season
- Taylor’s field goal is good for the third-longest field goal in the nation this season and the further field goal in the SEC since Cade York (LSU) hit from the same mark in 2020
- Taylor connected on two field goals (27, 57) making three out of four games this season with multiple field goals made
- Khordae Sydnor took down Missouri’s Brady Cook, marking his second sack of the season. It was also just the second sack given up by Missouri this year
- Running back Sedrick Alexander ran for a career-best 31-yard gain
- Sophomore Bryan Longwell registered a career-high 12 tackles, his second game this season with at least nine stops (Virginia Tech). His 12 tackles are the most by any Commodore this season
- Longwell also posted a new personal-best 2.5 tackles for loss, double his season total coming into the game. His 2.5 TFL joins Linus Zunk (Virginia Tech) for most by an individual in a single game
- AJ Newberry registered his third straight game with a rushing touchdown
- Miles Capers marked a career-high-tying seven tackles. It is also the second game this season with at least seven tackles (Virginia Tech)
- Captain Langston Patterson finished with 11 tackles, his second game this season with 10-plus (third career)
- Martel Hight tied his career best in tackles with seven. Hight has recorded seven tackles in both of his career contests against Missouri
- Randon Fontenette tallied a career-high eight tackles for the second consecutive game. Fontenette also registered his first career sack
- Eli Stowers led the offense with seven receptions, the second consecutive game leading the team
- Marlen Sewell posted a season-high five tackles
