Vanderbilt Head Coach Kevin Stallings
On Bradley’s Daniel Ruffin
“We knew he would get his points, but I think we did a pretty good job on him. He scored 23 points on 18 shots.”
On his team’s fast start and Bradley’s comeback
“We played so well in the first half, there had to be some sort of adjustment. I think it’s human nature to have some sort of a letdown after such a good half, but we responded very well in the second half. It got more interesting in the second half than it needed to be, but there’s a lot to be proud of tonight.”
On free throw shooting
“We didn’t miss a free throw down the stretch tonight.”
On senior’s play
“We expect those three seniors to step up. They’ve been in the program the longest.”
Senior Swingman Shan Foster
“We came out offensively very strong, and we played very well in the first half. It got away from us a little in the second half, but we got it together to come away with the win.”
On the amount of fouls called in the game
“They tried to bang us a little bit, and we made them pay for it at the free throw line.”
On VU’s bench play
“We have a lot of great players on the bench. They do a good job of staying positive on the bench and use that energy in the game. Keegan Bell did a good job of pushing the ball tonight from the point guard position.”
