NASHVILLE — Vanderbilt capped its fifth spring practice under head coach Derek Mason last Friday with the final of 15 practices for the 2018 Commodores. This fall, Vanderbilt returns 48 lettermen — 24 offense, 22 defense, two special teams — with eight starters on offense and four on defense.
Mason sat down with the Commodore Insider Podcast to assess Vanderbilt’s growth this spring. Mason discussed his defense’s maturation under new coordinator Jason Tarver, the search for leadership on that side of the ball, Vanderbilt’s experience on offense, newcomers to watch and much more.
