Vanderbilt Athletics wants its basketball and football fans to be aware of traffic flows and parking options for Saturday’s rare doubleheader of events. The men’s basketball team hosts Appalachian State at 1 p.m. and the football team closes out its season against Wake Forest at 6:30 p.m.
- Natchez Trace will close as customary at 11:00 a.m. to accommodate football’s Vandyville
- Basketball fans that ordinarily park in the Natchez Trace lots are advised to consider using the 25th Avenue Parking Garage since the Natchez lots will be reserved for football fans.
- Jess Neely Drive, which connects Natchez Trace with 25th Avenue South, will remain open for two-way traffic until 1:00 p.m. when the basketball game tips off. At that point, Jess Neely Drive will close as per usual before football games.
- Fans parking in either the 25th Avenue Garage or the Kensington Garage will exit the basketball game being funneled northward to West End Avenue. There will be no two-way traffic on 25th Avenue after the basketball game.
- Fans arriving early for the football game and wanting to park in either the 25th Avenue or Kensington Garages must enter 25th Avenue from Blakemore Avenue to the south. There will be no south bound traffic off West End.
We hope this information makes planning your trip to campus easy and enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you in Memorial Gymnasium and Vanderbilt Stadium.
