Travel team to Kenosha: It will be the same eight as made last week’s trip…Maria Bulanova, Adel Wahner, Emily Rigney, Jordan Newham, Kristin Quah, Katie Stark, Nicole Powell, Giselle Poss.
Last week: The Commodores went 9-5 at Sam Houston’s Kat Klash in an up and down three days. The team placed fourth with sophomore Kristin Quah earning MVP honors and joined on the all-tournament team by senior Giselle Poss and freshman Maria Bulanova. They are pictured above this text (l to r) Poss, Quah, Bulanova.
Remembering a program first: Vanderbilt’s bowling program won its first game ever on Jan. 21, 2005 at the Greater Ozark Invitational, topping Wisconsin-Whitewater with a season-high (to that date) pin count of 798. The “red-hot”, first-year `Dores won that match by 43 pins and program history was made!
Only one other appearance in Wisconsin: Vanderbilt has been in Whitewater’s tournament just once back in 2007 when it was called the Cheeseland Invitational and was held in Fort Atkinson.
