Vanderbilt’s television schedule for the 2012-13 season is complete, and the Commodores will appear on television or on ESPN3 in 28 of 30 games. Vanderbilt opens its regular season on November 10 against Nicholls State after playing two exhibition games against St. Xavier on November 2 and Delta State on November 5.
The Commodores’ matchup with Nicholls State and the game with Alabama A&M on December 15 are the only games that will not be broadcast on television or on ESPN3. The Nicholls State game, which is a doubleheader with the Commodore women, will have its tip time set when football’s game time with Ole Miss is determined by the SEC at the end of October. The contest with Alabama A&M will tip off at 7 p.m. Both games can be watched on vucommodores.com as a part of the website’s All-Access package.
Vanderbilt travels to Oregon for a 10 p.m. Central time tip on the newly formed Pac-12 Network, and then heads to the Old Spice Classic in Orlando over Thanksgiving weekend.
Other times and TV for non-conference games include a 4 p.m. CT tip against Villanova as a part of the SEC/Big East Invitational (ESPN2), a 6:30 p.m. Central start at Xavier (ESPNU), a pair of 8 p.m. CT tip offs on ESPNU against Cornell at Memorial Gym on December 17 and Middle Tennessee State on December 21 at Bridgestone Arena, a 7 p.m. Central start against Butler on ESPNU on December 29, and a still to be determined time against William and Mary on January 2 that will be televised by CSS.
In all, Vanderbilt will appear on national television 13 times in 2012-13.
