LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Christina Wirth had 20 points and seven rebounds and Merideth Marsh added 15 points as No. 20 Vanderbilt beat Kentucky 72-62 on Sunday.
The Commodores (18-6, 7-2 Southeastern Conference) overcame 23 turnovers by shooting 64 percent. Vanderbilt rebounded from an upset loss at Mississippi State on Thursday.
Kentucky’s Victoria Dunlap had 17 points and nine rebounds, and guard Amani Franklin added 14 points.
Kentucky fought back from a nine-point deficit early in the second half to tie the game at 42-42 on Carly Morrow’s 3-pointer. The Commodores answered with a 14-3 run.
