No. 2 Vanderbilt Welcomes Stacked Field to Smyrna

Fourteen of the NCAA’s top 15 bowling programs will compete at the Music City Classic this weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 2-ranked Vanderbilt bowling team will close out its 2025-26 regular season at home when the Commodores welcome 33 teams to the Smyrna Bowling Center for the Music City Classic.

The Last Time Out
Vanderbilt fought through adversity to salvage a top 5 finish at the Big Red Invitational two weeks ago. The Dores struggled on the first two days of competition in Lincoln, compiling a 5-7 record during qualifying. After dropping a tight, 1,021-1,007, traditional game to Youngstown State on Sunday, Vanderbilt rallied to win its next two best-of-seven Baker bracket matches to earn a fifth-place finish at the event.

Friday – Five sets of five Baker matches beginning at 9:40 a.m.
Saturday – Five traditional games beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday – Three best-of-seven Baker bracket matches beginning at 8:55 a.m.

Senior Sunday
Vanderbilt will honor its graduating seniors, Alyssa Ballard and Victoria Varano, after the conclusion of Sunday’s matches.
