History at Kutztown Invite
Last year a valiant and inexperienced Commodore unit battled No. 1 ranked McKendree down to the 10th frame of the last game before bowing, 4-3, in the championship match. The Dores had knocked off fifth-ranked Sam Houston in the semifinals in another thriller, 4-3, using a lineup dotted with young bowlers.  Kristin Quah received all-tournament recognition.

Vanderbilt has won the Kutztown Invitational just once, that coming in 2017 when the tournament was held at the New Hiester Lanes in Reading.  This is the first time the event is being held in Limerick, which is located 35 miles northwest of the heart of Philadelphia.

Streaking Commodores
Vanderbilt has won two tournaments in a row, the UMES Hawk Classic and last week’s Mid-Winter Classic.  It has won 22 of its last 24 matches, including eight victories over Top 10 ranked teams.
